Discover Credit Card Statement

The Account Statement is an official document issued by financial and banking entities to their customers that informs them about the movements, activities, consumptions and amounts to be paid in relation to their Credit Card.

Why do you need it? It is important to have it because it details every movement made in the account during the period you requested: bank transfers, bill payments, credit or debit card purchases, cash withdrawals, among others.

¿How do I get a statement from my Discover card?

Following the steps below:

After you create your account and have your credit card you can sign up for an electronic statement service, this allows you to print up to 7 years of statements, otherwise there is the option of calling  0800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683), to request copies.

When you request paper copies Discover does not charge you anything extra for statements or disclosures. These statements will also be shared through the website, through the Discover mobile app as well as by message to your secure email address.

• Go to the Discover site, you can do so by clicking here.
• Press while clicking on the option: “Receive your virtual account statement”.
• Another window will automatically open where you will have to enter the personal information requested by the system.
• You must choose to identify yourself or your identity card or passport number.
• Enter in the system the document you have chosen to identify yourself, the e-mail, the last six digits of your card and your cell phone number.
• – Read the provisions and click on the alternative: “I accept”.
• Press while clicking on the button: “Send”.

Can I get discover paper credit card statement 

If you are an Online Banking customer, you can log in to Discover Online Banking by selecting Statements and Documents from the Accounts section, then go to the Request Statements section and select “Request a paper copy of your statement.” Alternatively, you can call 1-800-DISCOVER (1-800-347-2683).

After that the bank will print your statement and send it to the mailing address you have provided.

¿How do I view my Discover statement?

If you want to view your Discover account statement, you must go to Discover.com enter your information, look for the account section, select where it says activity. There you will find all the recent information about your credit card, if you want to see a specific balance you can select the date in the period section.

In the statement you will see a summary of movements: it details the purchases, cash advances and payments made from the last billing close to the current one, with the cardholder card and its additional cards. In this summary, you will find:

• A transaction date when the purchase or transaction was made.
• A process date when the card processor recorded the transaction.
• Detail (location or business where the purchase was made).
• Cost: which is the amount paid for the purchase or its equivalent.

¿Does Discover send statements in the mail?

This is one of Discover's most widely used and viable methods for customers to receive their account statement, first because it helps protect the environment, second because the company saves on paperwork and mail delivery logistics, which allows for easier delivery.

Virtual Account Statement: With this service, the monthly statement and notification will be sent to your email address, allowing you to access the website and view the statement.

To activate this service, proceed as follows: email

• Log in to the Discover site.
• Select an ID or passport as your ID.
• Enter this ID number, email address, last six digits of your card, cell phone number.
• Select on the option: “Yes, I accept”.
•  Click on the button: “Send”.

¿How do I download Discover statements to excel?

On the main page then direct you have the section to view activity and recent statuses. So you click and you can have your current activity of this and download it or yes, you just want your most recent activity or if you know it is now 2022 and you want to look at your 2019 statuses what time it is select where it says activity and period and here we have a giant menu of options as it says at the bottom that you cannot go back more than 24 months although you can download the PDF.

After we select the period, we have our option to print, or download. Along with this option where we can select a file type, already to manipulate the format data but we can download as an excel file and you can also have it quickly in a CSV.

¿When do I get my Discover statement?

According to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency it is due 21 days before the payment is due. This most recent statement of your account at any time can be found available on your bank’s website with your debit information at no cost.

¿When do I get my first credit card statement discover?

The first statement of your account will be uploaded after 21 days in the online banking, if you wish to receive it by email or by correspondence you must request it through the page as explained in this article. Otherwise you will only be able to see it by manually accessing the activity section.

The Payment Information section contains important information about your new balance and monthly bill, including:

New Balance: although it appears elsewhere on your credit card statement, your card issuer will also enter your balance here so you don’t lose it.

Minimum Payment Due: This is the minimum amount you must pay to your credit card issuer by the due date to avoid late fees.
Payment Due Date: This is the date by which you must send the payment to your credit card issuer to avoid late fees.

Downloads and Copies

First of all, go to the website of Discover, you have to log in with your username and password. Once you are logged in, you will see a section for credit cards, click on your Discover credit card, now you will see several options on the upper part of the screen, click on the option that says, activity.

It will show a drop-down list where you can see a section for activity and statements, click there. In this page, on the left side you will see a text that says select activity or statement period, click and you will see a drop-down list with your account statement periods, click on a particular statement period you want to view.
